Where to?

A private chauffeur can take you from Paris to the D-Day beaches, the American cemetery and Bayeux — roughly 265 km, normally 3–4 hours each way. Most guests choose one long day or, better, two days with a night in the region. Your Mercedes V-Class and multilingual host stay with you; send your dates for a personal quotation.

History-minded travellers, families with a connection to the landings, and groups who want a private programme instead of a coach tour.

The sites are long distances apart. A one-day visit covers one or two places; two days allow the beaches, the cemetery and Bayeux without rushing.

    Three ways to travel

    01

    One-way transfer

We collect you at your Paris hotel and take you to the destination. You continue on your own — by train, for example — or arrange the return separately.

    02

    Return with waiting

The car and chauffeur-host stay close while you visit and bring you back to Paris the same day.

    03

    Chauffeur at your disposal

The whole day with you: unhurried stops on the way, lunch where you choose, and a programme you can adjust as you go.

    Distance

    A long way, planned honestly

Normandy’s landing beaches are around 265 km from Paris. A one-day trip means roughly seven to eight hours on the road, leaving a few hours on the ground — enough for one or two stops. We prefer to tell you that plainly and plan accordingly.

If you can, take two days: an evening in Bayeux or on the coast changes the trip from a long drive into a proper visit.

    What to see

    Beaches, cemeteries and Bayeux

The usual route combines the landing beaches such as Omaha and Utah, the memorial sites and the Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, the village of Arromanches and its museum, and the town of Bayeux with its cathedral and tapestry.

Many guests also want a battlefield guide. A licensed guide can be arranged on request, while your chauffeur-host drives and keeps the day on schedule.

    Planning

    Tell us what matters most

Some visitors come for a particular beach or family history; others want a gentle day of coast and villages. Tell us what matters and we shape the route, the timing and, if you stay overnight, the practicalities of the journey.

    Price

A personal quotation, not an estimate

We do not publish a price for day trips, because it depends on your plan: the distance, the time on the road and at your disposal, whether you return the same day, how many of you travel, tolls and parking, and extras such as a licensed guide.

Send us your date and what you would like to see and we reply with one clear quotation for the whole itinerary.

    Host or guide

Your chauffeur-host and a licensed guide

Your chauffeur-host drives, helps with your route, suggests stops and shares general information from the car. Commentary inside museums and historic monuments usually requires a licensed guide-conférencier — we can arrange one on request. Read driver-host or licensed guide to choose.

    Families & groups

    Room for the whole party

The Mercedes V-Class carries up to seven passengers with generous luggage space, and child seats are available on request. Tell us how many of you are travelling and the ages of any children when you ask for your quotation.

    Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from Paris to the D-Day beaches?

Roughly 265 km — normally 3–4 hours each way, depending on traffic and the exact beach.

Can it be done in one day?

Yes, but it is a long day: seven to eight hours on the road for a few hours on the ground. Two days, with a night in the region, is more relaxed.

Is there a fixed price for this trip?

No — day trips are quoted personally for the whole itinerary, so the price reflects your timing, group and plan. We do not publish estimates we cannot stand behind.

Can the chauffeur wait while we visit?

Yes — that is the usual way to travel. The waiting plan is part of your quotation.

    Are tickets included?

No. Entrance tickets, guided visits and tastings are booked directly with the venues unless we agree otherwise in your quotation.

Can I have a chauffeur who speaks my language?

Yes. Choose English, French, Russian or Romanian when you ask for your quotation.

    Is a licensed guide available?

Yes, on request. Your chauffeur-host drives and advises; for commentary inside museums and monuments we arrange a licensed guide-conférencier. See driver-host or licensed guide.

    Which vehicle fits our group?

A Mercedes V-Class carries up to seven passengers, with generous luggage space. Tell us the number of guests and cases and we confirm the setup.

    How do I pay?

After you accept the quotation you receive a secure payment link — card via Stripe or PayPal. Your booking is confirmed once the payment has been verified.
